Vaa Vaathi: Makers unveil video of the popular song from the Dhanush-starrer ahead of Vaathi's OTT premiere

The makers of Vaathi had announced a couple of days ago that the Dhanush-starrer will have its digital premiere on March 17. The film, which was released in theatres on February 17, won rave reviews from the audience. The bilingual project hit the screens in Telugu, too, under the title Sir.

The movie helmed by Venky Atluri went on to gross 100 crores at the box office; the makers had officially announced the same recently. They had also thanked the likes of Bharathiraja and Balakrishna who showered praise on the film.

Vaathi revolves around a young teacher who sets out to change the fortune of several teenage students. He imparts education to young students in a village with utmost sincerity and plays a vital role in their lives amid facing several challenges from a money-minded educationist.

Ahead of its OTT release, makers unveiled the video of Vaa Vaathi song which gained quite a huge popularity among music lovers. The melody, featuring Dhanush and Samyuktha, was composed by GV Prakash Kumar. Shweta Mohan has lent voice for the track which has lyrics penned by Dhanush himself.

The three-minute song was released as the first single from the project a while ago, and turned out to be an instant hit. A BTS video of Dhanush and GV Prakash composing the song was unveiled a few months ago, which had left their fans in a tizzy. Sai Kumar, Tanikella Bharani, Samuthirakani, Sumanth and Ken Karunas among others played key roles in the movie.

J Yuvraj and Naveen Nooli have handled cinematography and editing respectively for the film which has action choreography by Venkat.
