Vaa Vaathiyaar release date: Krithi Shetty to have two December outings as Karthi film to hit theatres year end

We had earlier reported that actor Karthi’s upcoming film Vaa Vaathiyaar is gearing up for release in December. The makers on Wednesday confirmed that the film will hit theatres on December 5. The film stars Krithi Shetty as the female lead.

Vaa Vaathiyaar release date:

Actor Karthi, last seen in Meiyazhagan, will have release this year in form of Vaa Vaathiyaar. The film is in the making for a while, and finally, the team has unveiled the release date. Vaa Vaathiyaar will release on December 5.

Vaa Vaathiyaar is directed by filmmaker Nalan Kumarasamy who has made films like Soodhu Kavvum, and Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum. However, the filmmaker had not had any theatrical release in the past nine years and no release in last five years. Now, Nalan is back with Vaa Vaathiyaar which is set to release in December. Vaa Vaathiyaar features Krithi Shetty as the female lead, marking her first straight Tamil film. Interestingly, Krithi Shetty will have dual releases in December with Love Insurance Kompany releasing on December 18.

Karthi is pairing up with Nalan Kumarasamy for the first time with Vaa Vaathiyaar. The plot of Vaa Vaathiyaar has not been revealed as of yet, but is expected to be quirky combined with Karthi’s comic acting.

Vaa Vaathiyaar OTT release:

Prime Video has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of Vaa Vaathiyaar. OTTplay Premium subscribers would be able to watch the film after its theatrical run, through their existing plans after topping up with Prime Video.

Also starring actors Rajkiran, Sathyaraj, GM Kumar, and others, the film is shot by cinematographer George C Williams. Vetre Krishnan is the editor and DRK Kiran is the art director. Santhosh Narayanan has scored the music for Vaa Vaathiyaar.

Meanwhile, Karthi also has Marshal with Tamizh and Sardar 2 with PS Mithran. The production for both the films are underway, with release date yet to be fixed.
