The team of Etharkkum Thunindhavan has unveiled its first single from the movie, titled Vaada Thambi. The four-minute lyric video has Suriya, dressed in varied vibrant outfits, mostly shirt and veshti, having fun shaking a leg with other dancers. GV Prakash and Anirudh have lent voice to the spirited song penned by Vignesh Shivan.
D Imman has composed music for the first time for a song featuring Suriya. Baba Bhaskar has choreographed the fast-paced track which has been shot in the backdrop of a village. Going by the lyrics, the song is expected to be the introduction song of Suriya's character in the project.
Fans of Suriya have been eagerly waiting to see their favourite star performing a dance as the actor's last two outings weren't full-fledged commercial potboilers. He has had a theatrical release two and a half years ago. An elated Imman took to his Twitter page to thank Suriya, director Pandiraj, GV Prakash and Anirudh for the song.
He tweeted, "Happy to present “Vaada Thambi” Song from #ET. Elated to work with Sun Pictures and Pandiraj sir once again! Excited to be part of this Suriya sir’s project! Thanks to Vignesh Shivan sir for positive lyric! And Brothers GV Prakash-Anirudh! Praise God! (sic)."
Sun Pictures has bankrolled Etharkkum Thunindhavan which will hit the screens on February 4. Imman was the composer for the production house' last outing, Annaatthe (streaming on Netflix). He was the musician for Udanpirappe (streaming on Amazon Prime Video), which was bankrolled by Suriya's 2D Entertainment two months ago.
Both GV Prakash and Anirudh have also composed music for earlier outings of Suriya like Soorarai Pottru (streaming on Amazon Prime Video) and Thaana Serntha Kootam (streaming on Amazon Prime Video) respectively.
