Debutant filmmaker Vishnu G Raghav's Vaashi, which stars Tovino Thomas and Keerthy Suresh, which hit the screens in Malayalam on June 17 is set for its digital premiere. Suresh Kumar has produced the courtroom drama under the banner of Revathy Kalamandirr.
Kottayam Ramesh, Anu Mohan, Baiju Santosh, Anagha Narayanan and Rony David among others play pivotal roles in the film which opened to positive response from critics and mixed response from the audience. Though the movie did not make any impact at the box office, a few aspects garnered appreciation from various quarters.
What's Vashi about?
The film's story revolves around a lawyer couple whose relationship hits rock bottom after the two face off against each other in a sensational case. Though the couple was about to get hitched, their conflicting personalities and ego clashes make things worse. Will they be able to sort out their differences?
The chemistry between Tovino and Keerthy was hailed as one of the major positive factors of the movie. The fast-paced screenplay and effective twists and turns are other aspects which received unanimous response from the critics.
When and where to watch Vaashi online?
The movie is dropping on Netflix on July 17, exactly a month after its theatrical release. Apart from Malayalam, Vaashi will be releasing in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada as well on the OTT platform. The last movie of Tovino which dropped on Netflix was Basil Joseph's superhero flick Minnal Murali.
Neil DCunha has cranked the camera for Vaashi while Arju Benn has edited the movie. Kailas Menon has composed songs, and Yakson along with Neha has jointly composed background score. Tovino will next be seen in Thallumala and Neela Velicham, while Keerthy has Maamannan, Dasara and Bhola Shankar.
