Venky Atluri's Vaathi, starring Dhanush in lead role, is gearing up for its digital premiere on Netflix in a few hours. The makers of the bilingual drama, which was released in theatres a month ago, have been coming up with a few surprises in the last few days.

They have unveiled a couple of video songs and announced today that they will be releasing a deleted scene from the movie, leaving fans elated. They have now come up with the short sequence in both Tamil and Telugu. Interestingly, it looks like an alternate climax they had reserved for the film.

The movie revolves around a selfless teacher who sets out to impart education to youngsters in a village amid various struggles and politics from a leading educationist. How the former succeeds in creating an awareness among studious students forms the rest of the story.

The deleted scene has one of the students exposing the truth behind the money-minded educationist and praises his teacher wholeheartedly, leaving everyone stunned. A shot of Dhanush towards the end which has him smiling with gratification is the highlight of the brief sequence.

GV Prakash's background music was one of the highlights of the film and earned praise from critics and audience. Yuvraj's cinematography and Naveen Nooli's crisp editing, too, was talked about, apart from the performances of Dhanush and other actors.

Samyuktha played the female lead in the movie which stars Samuthirakani, Saikumar, Tanikella Bharani, Sumanth and Ken Karunaas among others in significant characters. Sithara Entertainments, which bankrolled the movie, announced a week ago that the social drama has entered the 100 crore club.
