Dhanush, who will be making his second directorial debut this year, is now gearing up for the release of Vaathi which is hitting the screens on February 18. The Venky Atluri directorial stars Samyuktha as the female lead and the film is releasing in Telugu, too, under the title Sir.

This is the first time the actor is having a simultaneous release in both the languages and his fans are eager to watch their favourite star on the big screen. The project bankrolled by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas also features Samuthirakani, Saikumar, Aadukalam Naren and Tanikella Bharani in key roles.

Its makers have now come up with a unique plan to promote the bilingual movie. The distributors have decided to screen a special show a day before its theatrical release to the media in Chennai and Hyderabad. We hear that the latter will have a couple of premiere shows for other movie lovers as well.

This plan has gained attention from many in both the industries and they are looking forward to knowing how this strategy is going to work for the movie. Interestingly, Vijay-starrer Varisu was the last big ticket film in Tamil which relied on this unique idea.

Seven Screen Studio, which presented the family drama in January, has bagged the theatrical rights of the Dhanush-starrer as well in Tamil Nadu. Vaathi revolves around a dedicated school teacher who fights against a bunch of selfish entrepreneurs who indulge in education scam.

GV Prakash's music is expected to be one of the highlights of the movie which has stunt choreography by Venkat, editing by Naveen Nooli and cinematography by J Yuvraj.
