Vadakkupatti Ramasamy, the recent Tamil film starring Santhanam, which hit theatres in February, is now available for streaming on Aha Tamil, the platform announced on social media recently. Directed by Karthik Yogi, the film was released on February 2 to mixed reviews.
It is to be noted that the Santhanam-starrer is already available for watching on Prime Video. In addition to this, Vadakkupatti Ramasamy will be available to stream on Aha Tamil as well. The film is helmed by Karthik Yogi, who had previously worked with the actor in the 2021 science-fiction comedy film Dikkiloona.
The film is a period drama with Santhanam playing the titular character who is an atheist. Set against the rural backdrop, it is about how the character reaps the benefit of the god-fearing population in his village by building a temple and extracting money from it. It is to be noted that the title of the film is derived from one of the famous comedy sequencers of veteran comedian Goundamani.
Vadakkupatti Ramasamy also features a cast including actors Megha Akash, Nizhalgal Ravi, MS Bhaskar, Maaran, Tamil, Naan Kadavul Rajendran, John Vijay, Ravi Mariya, late Seshu, Suresh, Prashanth, among others. Backed by banner People Media Factory, Sean Roldan has scored the music and Deepak has cranked the camera. T Shivanandeeswaran and A Rajesh are the editor and art director of Vadakkupatti Ramasamy, respectively.
Following up with Vadakkupatti Ramasamy, actor Santhanam is gearing for his second release of the year, Inga Naan Thaan Kingu. The film was scheduled to release on May 10, but has been pushed to May 17. Directed by filmmaker Anand Narayan, Inga Naan Thaan Kingu promises to be yet another commercial entertainer with plenty of comedy. Debutant Priyalaya, Thambi Ramaiah, Bala Saravanan, Munishkanth, the late Manobala, Vivek Prasanna, Maran, Cool Suresh and others are part of the cast of the upcoming film.
