After the huge success of Suzhal - The Vortex, Pushkar Gayatri has teamed up with Amazon Prime Video for another Tamil series, titled Vadhandhi. Billed as a crime thriller, the filmmaker duo has produced the project under their banner Wallwatcher Films and stars actor-filmmaker SJ Suryah in the lead.

Andrew Louis has directed the eight-episode thriller which will be released on December 2 in Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada languages, too. Suryah had taken to his Twitter page yesterday that he will have an announcement today, leaving his fans curious. The series marks his OTT debut as well.

Its story revolves around a dedicated cop who sets out to track down the mystery behind a sensational case in a town. His challenge lies in finding truth amid the myriad of lies and deceptions he is surrounded with. How he comes up with various plans to solve the case forms the rest of the story.

Vadhandhi also features Laila, Sanjana, Nasser, Vivek Prasanna, Smruthi Venkat and Kumaran in key characters. Its first look poster which has been unveiled along with the announcement has a peeved Suryah, dressed as a cop, looking at a dead body spotted in a paddy field. A police cab and wind turbines are also seen in the poster which sums up the genre of the series.

An excited Pushkar Gayatri took to social media to post, "Our next production on @PrimeVideoIN #Vadhandhi Created, Written & Directed by our super buddy @andrewxvasanth, starring the inimitable @iam_SJSuryah. This twisted crime thriller will make you binge! (sic)."

SJ Suryah was seen in Don and Kadamaiyai Sei this year, while Laila made her comeback to acting with Sardar recently. Film buffs, who are excited with the announcement of Vadhandhi, are now looking forward to its trailer.
