Vala: Lukman Avaran-Dhyan Sreenivasan's comedy film gets a release date

The makers of the upcoming Malayalam film, Vala, have dropped an update on its theatrical release. It has been confirmed that the dark comedy, starring Lukman Avaran and Dhyan Sreenivasan in the lead roles, will hit the big screen on September 19.

It was earlier reported that the movie will release in theatres soon but the makers have not revealed an exact date. There are currently no other Malayalam films scheduled to have their big-screen debuts on the same day. Dulquer Salmaan is backing the Dhyan Sreenivasan-starrer. Other September releases include Shane Nigam's most recent sports drama, Balti, and Vineeth Sreenivasan's film, Karam. 

Female leads, Raveena Ravi and Sheethal Joseph's characters, were shown in the first poster. The film's tag line, "Story of a Bangle," foreshadows the comedy of its plot, which revolves around mayhem over a jewellery piece.

"Some stories come full circle," read the poster, which was shared by the cast and crew of the movie. The film also features significant roles by Vijayaraghavan and Shanthi Krishna. One of Vala's songs, Dastaan, was praised by the audience. The film is directed by Muhashin, who made his debut with Kadina Kadoramee Andakadaham, starring Basil Joseph, which is available for viewing on OTTplay Premium and Sony LIV.

Lukman starred in Khalid Rahman's Alappuzha Gymkhana, which is available to stream on OTTplay Premium and Sony LIV. Ganapathi, Sandeep Pradeep, and Naslen were also featured in this sports drama. Recently, Kundannoorile Kulsitha Lahala, his other film, became available on Saina Play. Perumani, starring the young actor, is also offered by the same platform as well as Amazon Prime Video.

Dhyan has a lot of films this year, making him one of the busiest Malayalam actors. Detective Ujjwalan and Prince and Family, two of his most recent films, have just begun to stream online. Dileep's eagerly awaited film, Bha Bha Ba, is among his next releases.
