Valimai Twitter review: Fans of Ajith and others go berserk as the star impresses in action scenes

Vinoth's most-anticipated action thriller, Valimai, hit the screens earlier today, thus ending the two-and-a-half year wait of Ajith fans. Boney Kapoor has produced the movie along with Zee Studios. The film has been released in a record number of screens in Tamil Nadu and is the biggest project to release in Tamil post the second lockdown.

Dhilip Subbarayan's action choreography, Nirav Shah's cinematography and Ajith's presence have been unanimously receiving praise from movie lovers post the film's release. The story of Valimai revolves around the cat-and-mouse game between a determined cop and a dreaded criminal.

Fans of Ajith and others movie lovers who caught the film's FDFS from different parts of Tamil Nadu took to Twitter to share their excitement. Many of them posted pictures and videos of celebration which took place in the theatres where they watched the movie.   

A few who felt the movie has a below par second half when compared to the first half, too, expressed their disappointment on social media.

With no big ticket films releasing for the next two weeks in Tamil, it is expected that Valimai, which is a solo release, will end up as one of the highest grossing movies in Ajith's career. The movie's long run depends on how family audience connects with the emotional sequences in it.
