Vallan teaser: After Iruttu, Sundar C plays a cop yet again in this intriguing crime thriller

It was announced a year ago that director VR Mani Seiyon of Sibiraj-starrer Kattapaava Kaanom fame is teaming up with Sundar C for an intense thriller flick. Billed as a whodunit, the project marks the veteran actor-filmmaker's 19th movie. The makers have now revealed its title and unveiled its teaser as well.

Titled Vallan, the one-minute teaser has Sundar C in the role of a cop yet again. He is seen investigating a sensational murder which becomes more complex as and when he unfolds new mysteries. The teaser is impressive because of its fast-paced cuts and slick cinematography. 

Mani Perumal and Sakthi Venkatraj have handled the film's cinematography and art direction respectively. Vicky has choreographed action sequences while Kalyan and Santhosh have composed dance movements in Vallan. VR Manikanda Raman has bankrolled the movie under the banner of VR Della Film Factory.

Tanya Hope, Hebah Patel, Kamal Kamaraj, Bigg Boss Tamil fame Abirami, Chandhini and Thalaivasal Vijay among others play pivotal characters in the project which is expected to release later this year in theatres. Santhosh Dhayanidhi has composed music for Vallan.

Sundar C was last seen in Aranmanai 3 (streaming on Zee5), which was one of the much-awaited theatrical releases in Tamil post the second lockdown. He was also at the helm of the horror-comedy which was the third instalment of the popular Aranmanai franchise.

He is currently busy directing the untitled movie which features Jiiva, Jai, Srikanth, Raiza Wilson, Malvika Sharma, Amritha and Aishwarya Dutta in lead roles. The comic caper is the director's multistarrer flick after Kalakalappu 2 (streaming on Sun NXT and Jio Cinema). Thalai Nagaram 2 and Pattampoochi are a few other upcoming films in which Sundar will be seen playing lead role.
