The first look of Vanam, starring Vetri in the lead, was unveiled by Vijay Sethupathi last year. Its second look was out recently and the makers have now come up with the trailer which has been unveiled by more than 20 celebs, including those from Kollywood and a couple of actresses from Mollywood.

Cheran, Seenu Ramasamy, Vijay Milton, Vijay Antony, Sasikumar and Halitha Shameem among others released the two-minute trailer of the movie which has Srikantan Anand at the helm. Billed as a mystery thriller, the film also stars Anu Sithara, Smruthi Venkat, Azhagam Perumal and Vela Ramamoorthy in important roles.

Going by the trailer, Vanam's story which is set in an older time period, revolves around the myth related to reincarnation, a mysterious room, a slew of murders and a protagonist who gets confused about some bizarre superstitions. Quite similar to a few Tamil movies in the recent past, Vanam, too, seem to be touching upon the need to save our forest. Smruthi Venkat comes across as a person who is interested in the concept of reincarnation while Anu Sithara's character has a mysterious angle to it.

Vikram Mohan's cinematography and Ron Ethan Yohann's background score stand out in the trailer of the film which has screenplay supervision by the veteran Sab John. Prakash Mabbu and Veeramani Ganesan have handled the movie's editing and art direction respectively. Produced by JP Alex of Golden Star Productions, Vanam has dialogues by Issac Basil Emarald IB.

Vetri, who shot to fame with 8 Thottakkal (streaming on Disney+ Hotstar) and Jeevi (streaming on Amazon Prime Video), was last seen in C/o Kaadhal (streaming on Netflix), the remake of Telugu hit C/o Kancharapalem.
