Kollywood is eagerly awaiting the release of Vijay's Varisu and Ajith's Thunivu which are set to lock horns at the box office for Pongal festival. The makers of both the movies are yet to begin full-fledged promotions, though they have come up with singles for now.

One of the most-awaited elements from Varisu's promotions is its audio launch. The popularity associated with the audio event of Vijay's films needs no introduction. Fans of the star were disappointed with the team of his last outing, Beast, not organizing an event. Instead, the actor was featured in a video interview along with director Nelson Dilipkumar.

His movie that released before, Master, had an audio launch event, but it wasn't a grand affair as the makers adhered to COVID-19 protocols. The last film of Vijay for which a huge affair was held was Atlee's Bigil which was released in 2019.

An official announcement on the date and venue are awaited, though. Fans have already started guessing Vijay's speech from the event.

The actor had met his fans after a few years recently, which has led to various speculation. Though a few say that the meeting was to discuss social welfare activities associated with his fan clubs, some point out that it was regarding plans to boost the star's political ambition.

It's after a hiatus of nine years that films of Vijay and Ajith are going to take on each other at the box office. With less than a month away for the release of two movies, fans of both the stars are pumped up like never before.
