Vijay in Varisu
Fans of Vijay are thrilled ever since the audio launch of Varisu was telecast on January 1. They have been waiting for an update about the film's trailer release since then, and are now over the moon. The makers have officially announced that the trailer will be unveiled on January 4 at 5 pm.
According to sources, the two-minute trailer will culminate with a punch dialogue from Vijay. Billed as a family drama, the movie helmed by Vamshi Paidipally will be released in Tamil and Telugu on January 12. Dil Raju has produced the film which will drop on Amazon Prime Video in the second week of February.
The project's censor formalities have also been completed. Varisu has obtained a U certificate, and its run time is said to be 2 hours 50 minutes. The songs from the movie have already been released, and Ranjithame, stands tall among them with more than 100 M views on YouTube.
Thaman has composed music for the project which stars Rashmika Mandanna, Sarath Kumar, Prabhu, Prakash Raj and Jayasudha among others essaying key roles. The advance booking for the movie has commenced in a few locations in the US, UK, Canada and France.
The film's Telugu version, Vaarasudu, is also expected to be released in a huge number of theatres in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The Vijay-starrer will take on Chiranjeevi's Waltair Veerayya and Balakrishna's Veera Simha Reddy in Tollywood, while Ajith's Thunivu is the competitor for the film in Tamil Nadu.
It's after a long time that films of Ajith and Vijay are locking horns at the box office. Varisu is the first huge release for Vijay in Telugu states.
