Music director Thaman has been part of several hit films in Telugu for more than a decade, but he hasn't had the opportunity to score for a big ticket project in Tamil till recently. Vijay-starrer Varisu is the musician's first much-awaited Kollywood movie, and he is awaiting the audience's verdict.
The first single of the film, Ranjithame, became an instant chartbuster and fans of Vijay were all praise for Thaman. The songs that followed, Thee Thalapathy and Soul of Varisu, too, had takers. The former is a huge hit among fans while the latter is loved for its emotion. Vaa Thalaivaa and Jimikki Ponnu, which were unveiled at the movie's audio launch impressed many music lovers.
With only a few hours left for the movie's release across the world, Thaman has now taken to his Twitter page to pen a heartfelt note on his association with the project. He said that he turned quite emotional after watching the film and thanked Vijay for the opportunity. He also posted a photo of him and Vijay, leaving fans enthralled.
His tweet read, "Anna @actorvijay Anna. I cried From the Heart Watching all the Emotional Scenes dear anna. Tears Are Precious. #Varisu Movie Is My family Anna It’s Close To My heart. Thanks For Giving me This biggest Opportunity dear Anna Love U (sic)."
Thaman was the musician for Sivakarthikeyan's Prince which was released last year, but the poor reviews for the movie lead to many not showing much interest towards its background score and okayish songs.
Thaman has his fingers crossed now, he is expected to be part of many big Kollywood projects in the coming days. It all depends on the box office performance of Varisu.
