Ever since the first look of Vijay-starrer Varisu was unveiled by makers, fans of the star have been looking forward to its theatrical release. The movie is expected to hit the screens for Pongal festival, but an official release date is yet to be announced.

The news of Ajith's Thunivu, too, releasing for the festival has hyped expectations surrounding Varisu. Movie buffs are now eager to know if both the projects would clash on the same day. The first look of Thunivu was released recently, and fans of Vijay are hopeful of the Varisu team coming up with an exciting update.

The first single from the Vamshi Paidipally directorial is likely to be released on Deepavali. Vijay has lent voice for the song which is said to be a romantic track. As if this isn't enough, actor-filmmaker-producer Manobala has taken to Twitter that he has met Vijay at the film's shooting location.

He informed that the star was busy shooting for a song and that it was a treat to watch him dance as always. The duo had a conversation for around 15 minutes, and Manobala added that their meeting instilled much-needed energy in him.

His tweet read, "Met thalapathi VIJAY n varisu set...it was amazing ...he s still d same...lots of energy while dancing ...15mts talk...gave me freshness and energy for me too...(sic)." Needless to say, this unexpected update from the senior actor brought cheer among Vijay fans.

Many fans of Vijay were eager to know about their conversation, and the first single update from Varisu. Manobala replied that the single will be released on Deepavali and clarified that he is not a part of the project.
