Bhagath Manuel said in a conversation with OTTplay that both actors and filmmakers now have a greater array of options thanks to the rise of OTT platforms. He said that takes a positive view of it. Like all industries, the film industry is changing. "OTT is the cinema's future, and as artists, we have to be able to adapt to these new demands," he stated.
The actor is starring in two web series, one directed by Uyare-fame Manu Ashokan and the other by Midhun Manuel Thomas’ Anali, which will be available f or streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. He had a cameo in Varshangalkku Shesham, directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan.

'Elated to be back with Vineeth Sreenivasan'
Bhagath recalled the time he spent in Varshangalkku Shesham's set and said it felt like he was back home. "How happy I was to be back on Vineeth's set is beyond words. It is a small role, but it is an important one in my life," he said.
He continued by saying that he had a few other commitments, even though he would have liked to spend more time on the set. "However, the days I spent on the set were the best of my life, just like the ones we spent in Malarvadi Arts Club fourteen years ago," he remarked. On April 11, Varshangalkku Shesham, starring Pranav Mohanlal and Dhyan Sreenivasan in the key roles, was released in theatres.
‘Hopeful about 2024’
With regard to Malayalam cinema, Bhagath said he is very optimistic about 2024 because it started off well. "I am thrilled with the praise our industry is receiving for our films. We got back together for a Vineeth Sreenivasan movie after a long hiatus, which is another highlight of this year, he remarked.
The actor also stated that, in light of Midhun Manuel Thomas's Aadu 3 announcement, he has high expectations for the year. "I had inquired with Midhun regarding Aadu 3 while Anali was being filmed. All he said was that the sequel will feature all of us again, and that preparations are currently underway," he added.
