Veeran trailer: Hiphop Tamizha Adhi turns saviour for a mysterious temple in this superhero flick

Fans of Hiphop Tamizha Adhi and other movie buffs were excited when it was announced that the composer-turned-actor is teaming up with ARK Saravan of Maragatha Naanayam fame. The project bankrolled by Sathya Jyothi Films was later titled Veeran. The expectations escalated when makers revealed that it is a superhero film.

The team had unveiled a couple of songs from the movie recently and announced that its trailer will be out today. The two-and-a-half minute promo video has been unveiled now at an event which has been organized at a mall in Chennai.

Staying true to its genre, the makers seem to have presented Adhi as a superhero in a convincing story that revolves around a temple in a village and a bunch of happy-go-lucky people who reside there. A shrewd businessman plans something mysterious in Veeranoor and decides to destroy a temple for his selfish needs.

However, the protagonist gains an unknown super power and sets out to stop those who are keen on destroying the temple which boasts of an inspiring history. Will he be able to pull it off amid several challenges? 

Vinay Rai plays the antagonist in the film which has Athira Raj, Munishkanth and Kaali Venkat among others essaying key roles. Adhi himself has composed music for Veeran which has art direction by NK Rahul and action scenes choreographed by Mahesh Mathew. Going by the trailer, it looks like cinephiles are in for a treat.

There is an interesting reference to the director's previous outing Maragatha Naanayam in the film and ample dose of comedy is likely to make it a thorough entertainer if the team manage to come up with an engaging screenplay.
