Vela trailer: RDX actor Shane Nigam's film is a thrilling police drama

RDX actor Shane Nigam's new film, Vela, made news after it was announced that the trailer of the movie would be shown at the first theatre screening of Dulquer Salmaan's much-anticipated Onam release, King of Kotha. Now, the trailer for the movie, which features Shane as a cop, has been released by its makers on social media.

Going by the trailer, Shane essays the role of a policeman who is a new joiner to the force. He is transferred to the control room wing as part of a punishment. During his work in the police control room, Shane finds it hard to recognize genuine and fake calls. The character of Sidharth Bharathan is a police officer who is friends with Shane and supports him. The trailer also features Sunny Wayne who plays a rough police officer who seems to be having an ego clash with Shane's character. According to the trailer, the film will be an engaging thriller going through the attempts of Shane's character to filter genuine messages from fake ones in the control room. Vela is touted to explore the professional and personal lives of these policemen and their individual politics.

Vela's crew

Vela is scripted by M Sajas who wrote Asif Ali's romantic drama Mandharam. According to reports, the film is mostly shot in a police control room at Palakkad. According to the makers, Vela is a character-driven movie that also explores a side of Shane that has never been explored before.

Cyn Celluloid who bankrolled Mammooty's Puzhu backs Vela. The technical team consists of Mahesh Bhuvaned as the editor and Suresh Rajan as the cinematographer. Suresh Rajan is known for his work in films like Thottappan and Kuttavum Shikshayum. Sam CS who composes the music of Shane's RDX handles the music department of Vela.

Meanwhile, RDX is the upcoming release of Shane Nigam in which he will be appearing as a young hot-headed guy. The film is an action entertainer which will hit theatres on August 25.
