A new update from the sets of Vettaiyan is out! Superstar Rajinikanth has completed shooting for his portions in the upcoming film. The makers released a new photograph with the crew presenting flowers to Rajinikanth, who appears to be in the same get-up from the film.
Rajinikanth completes Vettaiyan
Vettaiyan is one of the most expected films this year from Tamil cinema. The film is directed by filmmaker TJ Gnanavel and is produced by Lyca Productions. On Monday, the team announced that Rajinikanth wrapped up shooting for the film. It is scheduled to hit theatres in October. However, a release date is yet to be fixed.
The upcoming film boasts a star ensemble, including actors from different industries; Amitabh Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Dushara Vijayan, Ritika Singh, GM Sundar, Rohini, Rao Ramesh, Ramesh Thilak, Rakshan and others. With TJ Gnanavel promising an action thriller, Rajinikanth is expected to play the role of a cop in the film. Anirudh Ravichander is scoring music for the film.
Recently, Rana Daggubati revealed some key details about the film. He promised that Vettaiyan would be very different from the usual Rajinikanth films and would revolve around the judiciary, police and entrepreneurial system. It will be interesting to see what TJ Gnanavel, who gave us poignant films like Jai Bhim, has cooked with Vettaiyan.

One of the busiest and top actors of the Indian cinema, Rajinikanth was last seen in his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth’s film Lal Salaam. The actor will be next working with hitmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film is titled Coolie and will be produced by Sun Pictures banner.
The makers recently released the title teaser of Coolie, which has further piqued the curiosity of fans. Also scored by Anirudh Ravichander, the film is expected to be a standalone film and will not come under the filmmaker’s LCU. Coolie is touted to be a gangster action drama, but the cast details are yet to be out.
