Be it his films or his persona or even the trailer announcement of his just released film ‘Yodha’, Karan Johar has always added the extra chutzpah that makes it the talk of the town! Today was no different. The prolific filmmaker dropped a post on social media that stated, ‘GOOD NEWS Is That We Are Bringing BAD NEWS’.

In no time, the internet users wore a detective hat and went on to predict that Karan Johar was indeed talking about his most awaited film Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam, which stars Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk in the leading roles. Adding more ‘authenticity’ to the buzz were the social media posts by Vicky Kaushal. But, Karan Johar, in his typical style, took to social media and made the big revelation that the ‘Bad Newz’ (note the change in spelling) was actually the name of his next film.

After posting an extremely funny motion teaser, Karan Johar captioned the same saying, Get ready for the most entertaining hungama - a hilarious once in a billion situation awaits…a comedy inspired by true events!!#BadNewz IN CINEMAS 19th July 2024!’! Do not forget to listen to the important announcement towards the end of the teaser, which states that, ‘One in a million nahi, one in a billion hai’.
The teaser of ‘Bad Newz’ has the trio of Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk looking at their funkiest best. The film, which is being directed by Anand Tiwari. Karan Johar, also revealed that the film will be released in theatres on 19 July 2024.

No sooner did Karan Johar post the teaser about ‘Bad Newz’, the netizens just could not hold onto their excitement. While one user wrote, ‘Wooooo super excited for this!!’, there was another who wrote, ‘Wow excited’. For all those who are still wondering about the film’s title, let us tell you that the film is a spin off n Karan Johar’s earlier hit film ‘Good Newzz’, which starred Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani.
