Vidaamuyarchi update: Ajith Kumar wraps up dubbing; release date announcement soon?

Vidaamuyarchi, the action thriller film which stars Ajith Kumar in the lead role, is one of the most anticipated upcoming projects of Tamil cinema. The movie, which marks the first onscreen collaboration of Ajith and director Magizh Thirumeni, was supposed to have a mid-2024 release. However, Vidaamuyarchi was delayed multiple times due to various reasons. The project is now finally nearing final stages of its production, as the popular star wrapped up dubbing for his portions.

Ajith Kumar wraps up dubbing for Vidaamuyarchi

As per the latest updates, Ajith Kumar has now wrapped up dubbing for his portions in Vidaamuyarchi. The sources close to the Magizh Thirumeni directorial suggest that the leading man completed the dubbing works at a studio in Baku, Azerbaijan. Even though Ajith was originally supposed to return to Chennai for completing the dubbing works of Vidaamuyarchi. 

However, the actor was unable to make it, as he is busy with the filming of his other upcoming project, Good Bad Ugly. The new update was dropped by Ajith Kumar’s manager Suresh Chandra, with a recent social media post.

Vidaamuyarchi: All you need to know

The recently released Vidaamuyarchi teaser, which features Ajith Kumar, leading lady Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Sarja, Regina Cassandra, and others, has highly impressed the actors’ fans and cine-goers. From the teaser, it has been confirmed that the much-awaited film is an adaptation of the 1997-released American thriller film, Breakdown. Even though the makers have not announced the release date, the Vidaamuyarchi teaser confirmed that the film is getting a Pongal 2025 release.

Ajith Kumar is appearing as the protagonist in the film, which features Trisha Krishnan in the role of his estranged wife. Arjun Sarja plays the lead antagonist in the film, which stars Regina Cassandra, Arav, Sravan, Nikhil Nair, Dasarathi, Ganesh, and others in the supporting roles. Anirudh Ravichander composes the songs and the original score for the film. Om Prakash and Nirav Shah are the directors of photography. NB Srikanth handles the editing.
