Viduthalai Part 2 on OTT: Where to watch Vetrimaaran, Vijay Sethupathi and Soori film’s after theatrical run?

Viduthalai Part 2 hit theatres on Friday (December 20), and has been receiving mixed to positive reviews. The Vetrimaaran directorial film, is a period drama set in the 80s, and features Soori, Vijay Sethupathi and others. The film will be available on ZEE5 and OTTplay Premium soon.

Viduthalai: Part 2 on OTT - Vetrimaaran’s film will stream on this platform soon

Following his 2023 film Viduthalai: Part 1, Vetrimaaran helmed the sequel which released in theatres on December 20. The period drama is about a newly-recruited cop who is tasked with capturing the leader of people’s movement Vaathiyar, played by Vijay Sethupathi. While the first half ends on his capture, the second half reveals the backstory of Vaathiyar and how he becomes what he is.

Viduthalai 2 is currently running in theatres. ZEE5 has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of the film. The streaming platform also has the rights of the first part. Viduthalai Part 2, in all likely, will be available for streaming sometime in January 2025. Meanwhile, you can catch the first part for free on ZEE5 and is also available on OTTplay Premium app.

Viduthalai: Part 2 movie plot

Along with Soori and Vijay Sethupathi, the cast of Viduthalai: Part 2 also includes Kishore, Manju Warrier, Ken Karunas, Bose Venkat, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Chetan, Rajiv Menon and others. The film delves into the backstory of Perumal Vaathiyar, who from being a teacher turns into a comrade, and slowly becomes the leader of people’s movement. Manju Warrier plays Vijay Sethupathi’s pair in the film.

Produced by Elred Kumar, Viduthalai: Part 2 has music by Ilaiyaraaja. With a runtime of two hours of 48 minutes, Viduthalai: Part 2 has been censored A. The technical crew consists of Velraj cranking the camera, and R Ramar as the editor. Jacki is the art director of the film. The basic idea of Viduthalai is from Vengaichami written by Thangam with the film based on a short story penned by Jeyamohan.
