Vignesh Shivan has dropped a few brand new pictures of his family on his social media handle. In the pictures, the Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal director is seen with his wife, actress Nayanthara and their sons Uyir and Ulagam. Both the husband and wife duo are seen holding the babies. The pictures have won the hearts of many.
In the meantime, the director has gone on to reveal why they named their babies, Uyir and Ulagam. He wrote, "Dear friends We have named our blessings, our babies like this #Uyir RudroNeel N Shivan #Ulag Daiwik N Shivan. N stands for their best mother in the world #Nayanthara Happiest & proudest moments of life #Blessed (sic)."
Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan, who tied the knot last year in a star-studded do, surprised their fans last October when they announced that they had become parents to twin babies. Vignesh had then written on his social media handle, "Nayan & Me have become Amma & Appa. We are blessed with twin baby Boys (sic)." Vignesh added that this was possible with prayers and their ancestors’ blessings.
The duo later courted controversy after the Tamil Nadu Health and Family Welfare Department launched a probe against them for allegedly violating the surrogacy law. Later, the inquiry committee cleared the star couple stating that they had registered their marriage on March 11, 2016 and that the committee had received a letter from their family physician about the couple's surrogacy plans in 2020.
On the work front, Nayanthara is awaiting the release of her maiden venture in Bollywood opposite Shah Rukh Khan. In the meantime, Vignesh Shivan, who was supposed to helm Ajith's next (which is tentatively being referred to as AK62), is likely to direct Love Today star Pradeep Ranganathan next. The film, which is currently being called Wikki6 and it might have Nayanthara as the leading lady. However, the director is yet to make an official announcement about the same.
