Vignesh Shivan, Vijay Sethupathi to join hands again? Netizens wonder if it is the story of THIS project!

Vignesh Shivan and Vijay Sethupathi share a close rapport and the former had revealed the same during a roundtable conversation recently. The latter was the lead actor in the filmmaker's two hits Naanum Rowdy Dhaan and Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal which were released in 2015 and 2022 respectively.

The Poda Podi director was supposed to helm Ajith in AK 62 (tentative title) and the news was announced officially almost a year ago. Lyca Productions was about to bankroll the project and Anirudh Ravichander was roped in to compose music for the film.

It was heard that the likes of Arvind Swami and Santhanam were likely to come on board to play important characters in the movie which got shelved recently owing to reasons best known to makers. Vignesh removed Ajith's picture from his Twitter header and took out #AK62 from his bio.

As the whole Kollywood is now awaiting an update on the new director of AK 62, despite strong speculation of Magizh Thirumeni having bagged the opportunity, here comes another news that is doing the rounds. According to the grapevine, Vignesh and Sethupathi are likely to join hands again. 

Netizens wonder if it is the same script of AK 62 which is going to bring the actor-filmmaker duo together for the third time. It is heard that unlike their last two outings, this time, it is going to be an action drama. Nayanthara was the female lead in their two movies, and we have to see if she would come on board again if the project materializes.

Meanwhile, Sethupathi has been garnering positive response for his portrayal of a dedicated cop who fights against the counterfeit mafia in Amazon Prime Video's Farzi.
