Vijay Antony begins dubbing for CS Amudhan's crime thriller Ratham; makers release pictures

A while ago, filmmaker CS Amudhan had announced that he has wrapped up shooting for the Indian schedule of crime thriller Ratham which has Vijay Antony playing the lead. The crew is expected to commence the crucial schedule in Spain after a while.

The dubbing for the project has now begun in a Chennai-based studio, and makers have released a few stills from the post-production session. Kamal Bohra, Lalitha Dhananjayan, B Pradeep and Pankaj Bohra of Infiniti Film Ventures are jointly bankrolling the movie which has Ramya Nambeesan, Nandita Swetha and Mahima Nambiar essaying female leads in it.  

Nizhalgal Ravi, stand-up comedian Jagan, John Mahendran, Mahesh of The Family Man fame and Kalai Rani among others play important characters in the film which has music composed by Kannan and Gopi Amarnath handling cinematography. Suresh and Dhilip Subbarayan are in charge of editing and stunt sequences respectively. 

A picture of Vijay Antony dubbing for the film and him posing for a picture with the director and producers have been released by the makers. Vijay's upcoming films Kolai and Mazhai Pidikatha Manithan, too, are being produced by Infiniti Film Ventures.

The official first look along with the title were unveiled earlier this year. Though Vijay and Amudhan had plans to team up for a project almost a decade ago, it never materialized. Ratham is Amudhan's third directorial film after Thamizh Padam and Tamizh Padam 2.0 (streaming on Amazon Prime Video).

His sophomore movie Rendavathu Padam which was completed many years ago is yet to see the light of the day. Despite several release announcements, the film is still lying in the cans. Though there was news on the movie having a direct release on OTT a while ago, the makers are yet to come with a final update on the same.
