Vijay to fight it out against three villains in the Tamil film Beast

Sources say that actor Vijay’s next project Beast will have three antagonists. Beast is produced by Kalanithi Maran under Sun Pictures. The project is helmed by director Nelson Dilipkumar.

Beast has wrapped two schedules in Georgia and Chennai recently. The third schedule will also be shot at Chennai and nearby areas. Reports suggest that Beast will have three antagonists pitted against Vijay. But not all three are equally strong, although they harbour strong hatred towards Vijay’s character naturally.

Pooja Hedge is paired opposite Vijay in the movie. The Maharshi heroine made her film debut with the Mysskin directorial Mugamoodi, in which she shared screen space with Jeeva. She was last seen in Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo as the love interest of Bantu, played by Allu Arjun. Post its release, the actress gained wide recognition with the chartbuster ‘Butta Bomma’. Beast is Pooja’s second movie in Tamil after almost a decade.

Nelson Dilipkumar gained fame with his directorial debut Kolamavu Kokila starring Nayanthara in the lead role. The movie was appreciated for its story and humour. He is also looking forward to his next movie Doctor, a medical crime thriller starring Sivakarthikeyan.

Vijay, meanwhile, is on a path of blockbusters and box office records. He was last seen in Master, where he played an alcoholic professor JD, who reforms himself after volunteering at a juvenile correction centre. The movie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, also stars Vijay Sethupathi as the villain.

Beast will also have Nelson regular Yogi Babu and VTV Ganesh. A few days ago, actor Shine Tom Chacko also joined the crew. After the success of Master, the hype for Beast is high. Anirudh Ravichander is on board for the music, collaborating with Vijay for the third time after Kaththi and Master.
