The first single from the much-anticipated Tamil film Jana Nayagan starring Vijay is set to drop for the festive season of Diwali in October. The latest buzz is that it will be a dance number.

As per the latest online chatter, a new update on Jana Nayagan is doing rounds. The film’s first single from the Vijay-starrer is set to drop for Diwali. It is rumoured to be titled Thalapathy Kacheri, with actors Pooja Hegde and Mamitha Baiju said to be part of the song. However, an official announcement from the makers is yet to come. Anirudh Ravichander is scoring music for the song, with Sekhar Master is speculated to choreograph it. In all likeliness, Thalapathy Katcheri will be Vijay’s introduction song in Jana Nayagan.

Jana Nayagan is special for Vijay fans, given it marks the final chapter in the actor’s cinematic journey. Vijay had floated his own party and is currently touring the state holding political conferences to prepare for the upcoming 2026 state elections.

What do we know about Jana Nayagan?

Jana Nayagan is directed by filmmaker H Vinoth and stars Pooja Hegde as the female lead. It marks the second collaboration between Pooja and Vijay while the latter is working for the first time with Vinoth. The cast of Jana Nayagan also includes Mamitha Baiju, Priyamani, Bobby Deol, Prakash Raj, Gautham Menon and others. It is speculated that Jana Nayagan is a remake of Telugu film Bhagavanth Kesari starring Nandamuri Balakrishna. However, the makers of Vijay-starrer have not confirmed or denied it.
