Vikram: Makers to celebrate the Kamal Haasan-starrer's blockbuster success on THIS special date

Just two more months, and we will be bidding adieu to 2022. The year evoked mixed response for Tamil movie buffs as always, but this year also provided a few surprises with regard to the box office performance of films. Among the Kollywood celebs, 2022 arguably belongs to Kamal Haasan.

The legend headlined Vikram, the biggest blockbuster Tamil cinema has ever witnessed after it hit the screens on June 3. The Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial smashed several records left, right and centre. The action thriller bankrolled by Kamal himself was released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.

The movie is said to have made more than 400 crores worldwide, though the record has now been bettered by Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan 1. Vikram is one of the few Tamil films this year which opened to unanimous positive reviews from critics and moviegoers alike.

Makers have now decided to organize a 100th day function for the project, and have announced the news officially. They have also chosen a date and a venue for the same. The event will be held at Kalaivanar Arangam in Chennai on November 7, on the occasion of Kamal Haasan's birthday.

The unexpected news has brought cheer to the fans of Ulaganayagan. They are eagerly looking forward to knowing how the event would be conducted and the guests who would grace the affair. It is likely that the entire cast and crew of the movie will be present at the venue.

Some of the fans are curious to know if there will be an announcement on the much-awaited sequel to the film. Lokesh Kanagaraj's next film is Thalapathy 67 (tentative title), while Kamal has already joined the shooting of Indian 2 recently to complete its remaining portions.
