Vikram OTT release date: When and where to watch the blockbuster action flick starring Kamal Haasan online

The most-awaited update on Kamal Haasan-starrer Vikram is here. The Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial which released in multiple languages on June 3 went on to become the highest grossing movie in Tamil Nadu. The movie is also the biggest hit in Kollywood during the pandemic era.

The film which stars Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, Narain, Gayathrie and Chemban Vinod Jose among others smashed several records left, right and centre and earned huge profits. Kamal's Raaj Kamal Films International produced the movie which is still running in packed houses in many theatres.

What's Vikram about?

The film's story revolves around a former agent who sets out to take revenge against a group of deadly criminals who assassinated his son. How he comes up with various intelligent plans to wipe off criminals who are behind the narcotic business forms the rest of the story.

The major attraction of the movie, apart from Anirudh's music and Anbarivu's action choreography, was its engaging screenplay and the manner in which Lokesh created a universe by bringing in a few characters from his film Kaithi into it. Interestingly, both the films dealt with narcotic business. Movie buffs are now waiting to watch sequels of both Vikram and Kaithi.

When and where to watch Vikram online?

The makers had earlier announced that the digital rights of the project were bagged by Disney+ Hotstar. The OTT platform has now officially announced that Vikram will drop on the digital avenue on July 8. They also released a small video featuring Kamal Haasan to announce the date in style.

The Ulaganayagan who is seen sporting an all-black outfit is seen entering a room which has a huge collection of guns. He takes one of them and starts shooting at a door which opens followed by the arrival of Hotstar's logo carrying the announcement.
