It seems the problems for director Gautham Menon's upcoming movie Dhruva Natchathiram is far from over. As per the industry sources, the film will not arrive in cinemas on November 30 as expected.

The distributors and exhibitors in Kerala have been informed about the delay in release, with December 8 now being considered as the new tentative release date. An official confirmation on the same is awaited.

The release of Dhruva Natchathiram has been a controversial topic in the Tamil film industry. The film had already missed several release deadlines and was on the verge of falling into oblivion until Gautham decided to revive the hopes of fans to see this film on the big screen.

A few months ago, Gautham announced that Dhruva Natchathiram would hit the screens on November 24, even as it was mired in a lot of financial problems. In an interview, he revealed that this was a strategic move, which helped him build momentum to inspire the confidence of the stakeholders.

Gautham blamed unstructured borrowings from multiple sources for pushing this project into a financial mess. He revealed he started accepting acting offers to raise funds to pay off the creditors, who have created legal roadblocks to the movie's release. In the current situation, Gautham cannot release the movie in theatres without clearing the dues he owes to his financiers.

Gautham seemed confident in giving a smooth release to Dhruva Natchathiram till the eve of November 24. Just hours before the scheduled release, Gautham's production banner Ondraga Entertainment tweeted a message, assuring fans about the release. But, a few hours later, Gautham tweeted an apology note to fans, confirming the news about the release postponement.

“Sorry. Unable to get Dhruva Natchathiram to the screens today. We tried our best, but it seems we need a day or two more. Hoping to provide everyone with a great experience with advance bookings and proper screens worldwide. The support for the film is heartwarming and has kept us going. Just a few more days, and we’ll arrive!” promised Gautham.

While Chiyaan Vikram plays the lead role, Dhruva Natchathiram also stars Ritu Varma, R. Parthiban, Radhika Sarathkumar, Simran and Vinayakan in supporting roles.
