Virata Parvam teaser: Will Rana Daggubati and Sai Pallavi’s love survive all odds?

On Rana Daggubati’s birthday, the makers of the star’s upcoming film Virata Parvam had a special present in store for fans. A brand new teaser for the period drama, which also stars Sai Pallavi, was unveiled today.

The minute-long teaser was released, as promised, on the official Twitter handle of the film’s producers Suresh Productions.

The teaser features some intense scenes set in the backdrop of the 1990s Naxalite movement in the Telangana region. Viewers get glimpses of a distressed Pallavi before Daggubati comes on screen. The love story between the two, which forms the crux of the film, becomes apparent as the clip progresses. But as the two write letters to each other and the worried expressions dotting their countenance as they meet, signals that all is not well in their story.

The video ends with a birthday wish for Daggubati and the news that the official trailer will be released on Sankranthi.

Virata Parvam is touted to be a love story which also features elements of politics, communistic ideologies and action.

In addition to Daggubati and Pallavi, the upcoming film also features Priyamani, Nandita Das, Naveen Chandra, Zarina Wahab, Easwari Rao, and Sai Chand.

Virata Parvam is directed by Venu Udugula, with D. Suresh Babu and Sudhakar Cherukuri serving as the producers.

The makers had earlier responded to rumours of the film being a digital release, clarifying that the film would premiere on OTT only after its theatrical release.
