Viruman trailer: An action-packed family drama in the offing with Karthi acing the rural avatar yet again

Most of the film events in Kollywood happen at Chennai, but makers of Viruman had decided to conduct its trailer launch at Madurai. The Karthi-starrer directed by Muthaiya is one of the much-awaited movies of the year and it has been carrying good hype ever since it went on floors. 

Suriya's 2D Entertainment is bankrolling the movie while Yuvan Shankar Raja was brought on board as the project's music composer. A couple of songs from the film turned out to be instant chartbusters and fans are now looking forward to the movie's release on August 12.

The two-and-a-half minute trailer of Viruman has Karthi acing the rural avatar for the third time, after Paruthiveeran and Komban. The latter marked the first collaboration of Karthi and Muthaiya. Viruman revolves around the rift between an arrogant son and a disciplined father.

How a few goons with vested interests utilize the tussle between the father-son duo forms the rest of the story. Set in the backdrop of a village in Madurai, Prakash Raj and Karthi play father and son respectively in the film which has Aditi Shankar making her acting debut. 

Rajkiran, RK Suresh, Singam Puli, Soori, Karunas and Saranya Ponvannan among others essay important roles in the movie which has Selvakumar cranking the camera and Venkatraajen handling editing. Anl Arasu has composed stunt sequences for the film and is said to be one of the highlights of the project. 

Baba Bhaskar, Shobi, Jani and Sandy have choreographed dance sequences in the movie which has art direction helmed by Jacki. Viruman was supposed to release on August 31, but the sudden postponement of films like Cobra and Laththi made makers prepone their plans.
