Vishal Bhardwaj hints at collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan; says, 'ab wo waqt...'

Filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj is gearing up for the OTT release of his upcoming movie, Khufiya. During the promotions of his new outing, the director hinted at a possibility of collaborating with Shah Rukh Khan. The superstar is currently basking in the glory of Jawan's monstrous success. That being said, Vishal mentioned that he had a long chat with SRK after the film's release.

Vishal Bhardwaj on possibility of a film with Shah Rukh

In an interview with News18, Vishal Bhardwaj stated that a film with SRK is pending. "We always want to answer 'when is it happening'. Now the time has come, he has already made an indirect cameo so now the film remains. I have a feeling, and even Shah Rukh Khan has told me he has a similar feeling - we will be able to do something together this time," he told the news portal in Hindi.

Bhardwaj further revealed, "In fact, Jawan ke baad — I loved Jawan — I called him and spoke to him at length. At one point, we came very close to doing a film. It was announced also and we were going to shoot but somehow it didn’t happen."

What's next for Vishal Bhardwaj, Shah Rukh Khan?

On the work front, Vishal's upcoming film, Khufiya, is scheduled to release on Netflix on October 5, 2023. The movie stars Tabu in the lead role.

Shah Rukh Khan, on the other hand, will next be seen in Dunki. The film, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, will hit the big screen in December 2023. SRK will be seen romancing Taapsee Pannu in the movie. It is likely to clash with Prabhas' Salaar at the box office.
