The shooting of Vishal-starrer Laththi has been going on at a brisk pace in Hyderabad for a while. The movie hit the headlines a few times when the actor got injured while filming for intense action sequences under Peter Hein's stunt choreography. After a short break, he joined back to shoot fight scenes recently.

Debutant A Vinoth Kumar is at the helm of the crime drama which stars Sunainaa in the female lead role. The director has announced that the team has wrapped up a lion's share of the movie in Hyderabad. A few pending portions of the final schedule will be shot in Chennai soon.

He also posted a couple of stills from the location; the pictures have Vishal, director, Peter Hein and producers among others posing together for a photo. Actors Ramana and Nandaa are bankrolling the film under Rana Production.

The makers had released its motion poster a few months ago. The film has Vishal essaying the role of a cop again; but this time, he will be seen playing an inspector, unlike his other outings like Paayum Puli and Ayogya which had him play cops of higher rank.

As per the earlier plan, Vishal was supposed to commence shooting for Thupparivaalan 2 now which marks his directorial project. A few months ago, he had announced that location hunting for the spy drama will begin in January and that the movie will go on floors in April.

Adhik Ravichandran's Mark Antony is another ambitious project of the actor; a huge set has been erected in Chennai for the movie which is billed as a pan Indian project. The story of the film is said to be in the 1970s and SJ Suryah will play the antagonist in the film.
