Several rumours were floating around the theatrical release of Vishwak Sen, Nivetha Pethuraj-starrer Paagal over the past few weeks but it looks like there's finally some clarity for audiences. The romantic comedy, written and directed by Naressh Kuppili and produced by Bekkem Venugopal, is now gearing up to hit theatres across the globe this weekend i.e. August 14. Ahead of the release, the makers unveiled the film's theatrical trailer earlier today. The trailer looks at the highs and lows in the love life of a playboy.
Vishwak Sen is introduced as a youngster who has loved 1600 girls to date and would go to any length to win the heart of a girl. He leaves no stone unturned, proposing to every second woman in his neighbourhood. While he chases, stalks and tries to woo the film's leading lady Nivetha Pethuraj as well, she is disgusted and is particular about teaching him a lesson. Strangely enough, she too falls for his advances and later develops trust issues around the guy's commitment to the relationship. Will the two bury the hatchet and go back to their good ol' ways?
Paagal suits Vishwak Sen like a T, the lead character's mannerisms, happy-go-lucky attitude resembles the actor's real-life personality in many ways. The lead actress Nivetha Pethuraj plays a level-headed woman who's clear about what she expects from a relationship and doesn't mince words while saying so. The actress looks to have done her homework well to slip into the skin of the role. The trailer also glimpses past other actors who may have crucial roles to play in the film, including Simran Choudhary, Megha Lekha, Rahul Ramakrishna, Murali Sharma and Mahesh Achanta.
Cinematographer S Manikandan lends his expertise to the film, while Andaala Rakshasi-fame Radhan scores the music. Apart from Thimmarusu, we finally have another Telugu film featuring mainstream actors getting ready to hit theatres. Noted producer Dil Raju is distributing the film. Vishwak Sen was also recently seen in the first episode of aha's cookery show aha Bhojanambu where he discussed his passion for food. Nivetha Pethuraj was seen in Ram Pothineni's Red earlier this year and plays key a role in Rana Daggubati, Sai Pallavi-starrer Viraata Parvam.
