'Breakup becomes world news,' says Vivek Oberoi

Opening up about the downsides of fame, Vivek said being a celebrity intensifies one's experience of being constantly in the public eye. “Your breakup becomes world news," he said.

Giving an advice to the younger generation about dealing with heartbreak, Vivek said, “If someone is leaving your life, think of it this way. A child drops his lollipop in the mud, his mother won’t allow him to eat it because it is dirty, would she? Life will give you a new partner. The longer you stay with the pain, the more it’ll grow."

Vivek also opened up about his entrepreneurial journey and how his personal and professional downfalls led him to his greater purpose.

He said he would’ve become a superficial person, living a superficial life. He also added he would’ve become plastic himself, among people with plastic smiles. If people troll him now, he does not care because he knows his purpose in life.

The Saathiya actor also shared, “I’m speaking from personal experience. Sometimes, we go into abusive relationships, relationships where people are using you, people are not valuing you, not respecting you."
