Vismayathumbathu is one film that came back in focus after Sarvam Maya became a hit. Mohanlal leads this film as Sreekumar who finds a supernatural entity in his house, who does not remember what happened to her, much like Delulu in Sarvam Maya. Sreekumar then sets out to find the truth about her, eventually falling for the lovely girl (played by Nayanthara). The song Mizhikalkkinnenthu is still popular from the film, where the entity sings and dances as well. The film also features another character Maya, played by Kalpana, who also claims that only some can see her. Her character mainly exists to add humor to the film, and viewers are not really enlightened about her role.
