Hrithik Roshan-Jr. NTR's War 2 has registered a slow start after crossing Rs. 100 crore mark before the first weekend. Interestingly, same is the case with Rajinikanth's Coolie. Whether it is the audience's disappointment with both the movies or just the extended weekend fever, will be known as the day progresses. For now, though, both the movies have registered their lowest Box Office collection for morning and afternoon shows so far.

War 2 Tamil version shows promise
Interestingly, the most occupancy came from the Tamil version this time around (43.13%). This was followed by Telugu version with 36.08% occupancy. The Hindi version showed merely 25.44% occupancy.

Rajnikanth's Coolie Box Office collection day 3 earned Rs 15.9 crore by mid-day. The movie minted the total of Rs. 135.65 crore, thus still leading the way in comparison to War 2. The Tamil and Telugu version of the movie both saw an occupancy of 56.68% and 55.62% each. The Hindi version saw the poorest performance with merely 30.20% occupancy.
As for the current trend, it does appear that Coolie might emerge the winner (just barely) on another day, but given Bollywood's past record and changing the game at the end moment, one can never say which movie might outshine the other over the weekend. We would have a clearer idea about the same on the morning of Sunday, August 17, 2025.
