War 2 Box Office collection day 3: Hrithik Roshan-Jr NTR's film sees first major drop on weekend, fails to cruise past Rs 150 crore

Hrithik Roshan-Jr. NTR's movie War 2 has witnessed its first major drop, and it happens on the first day of a weekend i.e. first Saturday. The movie, which should have easily crossed Rs. 150 crore at this point, saw its first major dip and could barely earn Rs. 33 crore, according to Sacnilk. This is the first movie in 2025 which opened to great numbers but saw a dip over the weekend. The last time this happened was with Akshay Kumar-Tiger Shroff's Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.

War 2 Box Office collection day 3

War 2's third day Box Office collection was the lowest since its Thursday release. The movie, which was earning over Rs. 50 crore in the past two days, minted only Rs. 33 crore on day three. Owing to the same, the film was unable to cross Rs. 150 crore at the Box Office. The current net collection for War 2 is Rs. 142.35 crore.

War 2 receives most love from Tamil version

Neither Hindi nor the Telugu version of War 2 worked as well as the Tamil version did on day 3. While the occupancy for the Telugu version was 42.19%, the Hindi version saw the lowest occupancy of 31.42%. Meanwhile, the Tamil version's occupancy was 48.71%.

Coolie Box Office collection day 3

The third day Box Office collection for Coolie was no better. The movie also witnessed a massive drop, but thanks to it taking the lead early on, Rajnikanth's film crossed Rs. 150 crore mark easily. The movie earned Rs. 158.25 crore on first Saturday.

Seeing the drop in the Box Office collection on the first day of the extended weekend, it is safe to say that neither Coolie nor War 2 have left the theatre-goers impressed. It would now be interesting to see how long does it take for both the movies to earn beyond Rs. 200 crore and even touch Rs. 300 crore (which they otherwise could have over the first weekend itself).
