While it is difficult to establish whether filmmaker Anees Bazmee is on good terms with producer Firoz Nadiadwala, reports suggest that the Welcome To The Jungle shoot will commence on December 11.

Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi, Raveena Tandon, Disha Patani, and the team of Welcome To The Jungle will commence the shoot of the film on December 11. With two days remaining for the shoot to begin, a fresh report suggests that filmmaker Anees Bazmee is likely to be present on the set of the film despite not being on good terms with producer Firoz Nadiadwala. Reportedly, Firoz Nadiadwala hadn’t paid Anees Bazmee’s dues worth ₹2 crores following which the movie’s shoot as a result was stalled.
The shoot of the movie was expected to begin in September.
Welcome To The Jungle’s latest update
BN Tiwari, President of FWICE (Federation of Western India Cine Employees) told Hindustan Times today, “The shoot for Welcome to the Jungle will begin from December 11 and the preparations are in full swing. A set has been put in Goregaon East after the makers got clearance from the cinema association. The cinema association got involved after the cheque given to the Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 filmmaker got bounced and he reached out to the association for support. However, Nadiadwala has now agreed to give the remaining amount to Bazmee, through FWICE.”
In the past, Anees had filed a case against Firoz for not clearing his dues. BN Tiwari believes that the case will also be retracted soon.
The report further underlined that the first few scenes of the film were expected to be shot in Gujarat. However, due to logistical issues, the initial scenes will be shot in Mumbai. “Earlier, the film’s shoot was supposed to begin in Gujarat, but there has been a change in plans. The rest of the locations for the shoot aren’t disclosed yet,” a source told Hindustan Times.

Directed by Ahmed Khan, ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ stars Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Disha Patani, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Jacqueline Fernandez, Paresh Rawal, Arshad Warsi, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Daler Mehndi, Mika Singh, Mukesh Tiwari, Zakir Hussain, Yashpal Sharma, and Sayaji Shinde.
The movie is expected to be released on December 25, 2024.
Notably, the first two movies of the Welcome franchise featured Nana Patekar and were directed by Anees Bazmee. However, this time he will not direct the third movie of the franchise ‘Welcome To The Jungle’. He will only guide Ahmed, if needed.
