Challenging Star Darshan has refrained from speaking much about his upcoming film 'Kaatera' and there could be a reason behind that. Turns out, the actor and the whole team behind the film are putting together something special that will be nothing short of a treat to his many million fans or celebrities.

Speaking to former Bigg Boss Kannada winner Roopesh Shetty in a special programme leading up to the World Cup 2023 final, Darshan opened up (a little) about what one could expect from 'Kaatera'. "They will get to see the Darshan that they haven't seen before," said the 46-year-old superstar in his trademark style.

Kaatera, of course, is an action entertainer set in the 1970s in rural Karnataka and Darshan's look in the film has already got everyone talking. The actor dons a simple yet rugged avatar in Tharun Kishore Sudhir's film and considering that it is based on a real-life incident, one can definitely expect him to deliver a compelling performance.

Kaatera has been in the making for quite some time and current speculations state that the film will be up for a theatrical release in early 2024. Radhana Ram, daughter of late film producer Ramu and '90s superstar Malashree, will make her debut with the film and will be seen in the role of Prabhavathi. The cast also includes Shruti, Kumar Govind and others.

Darshan, on the other hand, is expected to get started with 'Devil: The Hero', an out-and-out action entertainer directed by Milana Prakash. The former also has a film with his 'Kariya' director Prem which will be produced by KVN Productions.
