WHAT! Release date of Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan POSTPONED? Here’s what we know

After the film ‘Zero’ failed to impress the box office expectations, all the eyes were trained on Shah Rukh Khan’s next release ‘Pathaan’. Just after the film’s trailer got released, the film ran into unexpected troubles over a couple of reasons, including the ‘Besharam Rang’ track. But, once ‘Pathaan’ got released, there was no looking back for the original King Khan... Shah Rukh Khan! The gigantic success of the film once again catapulted Shah Rukh Khan to the topslot. With ‘Pathaan’ meeting unprecedented success at the box-office, all the eyes were now trained on Shah Rukh Khan’s next big release ‘Jawan’.

The relaese date of ‘Jawan’ was decided as June 2 this year. After knowing this, everyone was not only eagerly awaiting the release of ‘Jawan’, but also had started the countdown to the film. But, as per a source-based news report in Bollywood Hungama, the film will now be releasing on June 29 this year. The news reported had the source justifying the new release date by stating that if the film releases on June 29, it can enjoy the benefit of having a four-day weekend. In addition to that, the Sidharth Malhotra-starrer ‘Yodha’ and Ayushmann Khurrana-starrer ‘Dream Girl 2’ got pushed last week. When OTTplay, tried to reach Red Chilies to confirm the new release date, it yielded no result.

Speaking about ‘Jawan’, ever since the time the film ‘Jawan’ was announced, it started making news for all the right reasons. The film has everything going in its favour. Starting with Shah Rukh Khan, who is fresh from the success of ‘Pathaan’. Second, the film sees the directorial debut of the southern whizkid Atlee. Besides Shah Rukh Khan, the film stars two southern sensations in the form of Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi. The film also stars Sanya Malhotra in an important role. Besides them, ‘Jawan’ will also feature Deepika Padukone in a cameo appearance.
