When will Captain America: Brave New World drop on JioHotstar? Here's what we know so far

The Marvel Cinematic Universe returns to the big screen in 2025 with Captain America: Brave New World. Starring Anthony Mackie in the lead, the film explores Sam Wilson embracing the responsibility left to him by Steve Rogers (Chris Evans). Anticipation has been high since the announcement, as the movie is set to shape the next phase of the franchise. While it opened to a lukewarm response, curiosity remains about its digital premiere. Here’s everything we know so far about its streaming release in India.

Captain America: Brave New World JioHotstar Release Date

The world is now on the other side of the Blip and the Celestial emergence in the Indian Ocean, with America electing Thaddeus Ross (Harrison Ford) as its new President. Ross seeks to collaborate with Captain America, Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie), who is joined by his enthusiastic sidekick Joaquin Torres (Danny Ramirez), the new Falcon. When an attack on the President falsely implicates Isaiah Bradley (Carl Lumbly), Captain America must uncover the real perpetrator and save his friend. 

Currently playing in theaters, Captain America: Brave New World has no confirmed digital premiere date yet. However, if Marvel follows its usual release pattern, the film should arrive on streaming platforms approximately 90 days after its theatrical debut. This suggests a tentative streaming release date of May 15, 2025, on JioHotstar in India. The exception to this timeline was Deadpool & Wolverine, which premiered 109 days after its theatrical release, owing to its billion-dollar success.

Directed by Julius Onah, the film stars Anthony Mackie, Danny Ramirez, Shira Haas, Xosha Roquemore, Carl Lumbly, Giancarlo Esposito, Liv Tyler, Tim Blake Nelson, and Harrison Ford. Captain America: Brave New World was released in theaters on February 14, 2025, and continues its run on the big screen.
