Anandhi-starrer White Rose is gearing up for its release on April 5. This psychological thriller is directed by debutant Rajashekhar. Touted to be based on real-life events, this Tamil film follows a young woman (played by Anandhi) who gets involved with a psychopath. The psychological thriller also stars RK Suresh as Dilip, who is the antagonist in the film.

White Rose plot
The upcoming film focusses on illegal activities in the medical field. The title is derived from the antagonist’s obsession with white roses. Anandhi’s character feels trapped when she abducted by a psychopath. How she rescues herself and finds her missing daughter from the deadly situation forms the crux of the story. Touted as an awareness film, White Rose also aims to show the beastly trait in human beings.

Going by the trailer of White Rose, the film follows Anandhi’s character, who is attempting to flee from a threat. It showcases Anandhi's character, who is attempting to free herself from the clutches of a female-targeting serial killer. She is also seen looking for her young daughter, who appears to have been abducted. R K Suresh plays an antagonistic role, but the rest of the plot's details have not been disclosed. The rest of the trailer depicts Anandhi’s determined efforts to locate her missing child despite the lurking threats.

The digital partner for the film is yet to be disclosed, However, the film is expected to be released on OTT platforms post its theatrical run.

White Rose cast and crew
Directed by debutant Rajashekhar, the film also stars Rooso Sridharan, Vijith, Baby Nakshathra, Sasilaya, Dharani Reddy, Suliyan Bharani, Varshini, Hasin, Rajasimman, and Ramanathan in supporting roles. Johan Shevanesh of Metro fame has composed the music for the film, while V Elayaraja has handled the cinematography. The film is produced by Poombarai Murugan Productions.

Although not confirmed officially, a few sources state that the film has been made on a budget of less than Rs 10 crore.
