Who played Cupid? Here’s how love blossomed between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce

“Love is in the air” for the past couple of weeks for the celebrity couple Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. The pop star and the football star take the internet by storm with their PDA-filled adorable moments from time to time. Recently, NFL player Travis Kelce revealed some private details about his romance with the pop sensation and how the duo evolved into a charming couple.

Travis Kelce recalls “First meeting”

In a recent cover interview with WSJ magazine, a few snippets of which are going viral on the internet, the football star detailed his romance with the Grammy-award-winning singer.

The NFL football champion recalled his almost unsuccessful first attempt to meet the iconic pop star in July at the Eras Tour show. Recalling the incident he said that his meeting wouldn't have been possible if some people weren't playing "Cupid."

“There were definitely people she knew that knew who I was, in her corner [who said]: Yo! Did you know he was coming? I had somebody playing Cupid."

He also added how and why Swift reached out to him. “She told me exactly what was going on and how I got lucky enough to get her to reach out," he further added.

Kelce talks about family values and Swift's "aura"

The 34-year-old footballer also described how the pop star's family helped him gain her attention. Reminiscing his early dating days, the Kansas City Chief's star player credited part of his romance with Taylor Swift to the Swift family.

“She’ll probably hate me for saying this, but...when she came to Arrowhead, they gave her the big locker room as a dressing room, and her little cousins were taking pictures...in front of my locker," he revealed in the same interview.

“When I met her in New York, we had already kind of been talking, so I knew we could have a nice dinner and, like, a conversation, and what goes from there will go from there," Kelce recalled his first nice meeting with the popular singer-songwriter.

Travis Kelce also spoke about the pressure and challenges of dating someone with that great aura and high caliber like the multiple Grammy winner, pointing at the massive media attention. "The scrutiny she gets, how much she has a magnifying glass on her, every single day, paparazzi outside her house, outside every restaurant she goes to, after every flight she gets off, and she’s just living, enjoying life," Kelce added.

The sports star also appreciated the Lover singer's family values that sync perfectly with his "family-guy" roots.
