After delaying her show due to a fan's tragic death, Taylor Swift made a poignant return to the stage in Brazil. The singer appeared to offer a heart-wrenching tribute to her fan, Ana Clara Benevides, who tragically passed away after falling ill in the heat at the concert venue.

Taylor sang the track ‘Bigger Than the Whole Sky’, as seen in a video trending online. “Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye... You were bigger than the whole sky. You were more than just a short time,” she sang, after which she broke down into tears.

She continued the lyrics of the song by saying, “I'm never gonna meet. What could've been, would've been. What should've been you? What could've been? Would've been you?”

Taylor Swift postponed an Eras Tour concert in Rio de Janeiro Saturday after a 23-year-old fan died during her Friday night show, according to a message posted on the singer’s Instagram handle.

“I’m writing this from my dressing room in the stadium. The decision has been made to postpone tonight’s show due to the extreme temperatures in Rio,” the singer said in a written note on Instagram. “The safety and well being of my fans, fellow performers, and crew has to and always will come first,” she added.

According to news agency AP, the reason behind the passing of Ana Clara Benevides Machado, the young woman who sought medical assistance at Nilton Santos Olympic Stadium during Friday's show, remains undisclosed. The Rio public prosecutor's office has initiated a criminal investigation, revealing that Benevides' body is currently under examination.
