Soundarya Sharma starred in a controversial pan masala ad with Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar. The actress, who rose to fame with Bigg Boss 16, revealed why she signed up for the advertisement. In an interview, Sharma stated the 'little girl' in her was just very excited when she was offered the ad.
However, Soundarya clarified that she 'never thought of doing or promoting a wrong aspect of any brand or product'.

Speaking with Pinkvilla, Soundarya revealed she was informed that SRK, Ajay, and Akshay were in the ad that she was supposed to feature in. The actress admitted it was unprecedented for her as an actor to be sharing screen space with the Bollywood superstars.
"They mentioned about the mouth freshener. For a moment, I was like okay. I personally feel like come on, the little girl in me just got really excited about the fact that ‘Oh my God. I have grown up watching them on the screen’. For me, it was like a dream come true," she told the entertainment portal.
'I just wanted to be happy about...'
The actress maintained that she was excited about the ad offer. "Come on, you gotta be asking me if am I silly enough to say no to a thing where I can share screen space with people whom I have idolised as an actor. So that was my only thought and I just wanted to be happy about the fact I didn’t think too much about it at that very moment," added Soundarya.
On the work front
Meanwhile, Soundarya was last seen on Bigg Boss 16. The actress was one of the many celebrities who were a part of the Salman Khan-hosted reality show. While she was in the Bigg Boss 16 house, the actress' film Thank God, in which she had a cameo, was released in 2022. Her web projects like Raktanchal 2, Country Mafia, and Karm Yuddh also dropped on OTT platforms.
