Telugu actor Jr NTR expressed interest in doing a straight Tamil film with director Vetrimaaran

Only recently, we had reported that Telugu actor Jr NTR, who is awaiting the release of his film Devara, expressing his interest to do a straight Tamil film with director Vetrimaaran. Following this, the director was quizzed if he would like to work with the actor, to which the director shared some update. To know what he said, read on further.
The pre-release event of upcoming Telugu film Devara took place in Chennai recently. In the event, Jr NTR openly admitted that he would like to do a straight Tamil film with his favourite director Vetrimaaran.
Recently, Vetrimaaran was asked about the possibilities of the collaboration with Jr NTR, to which the director revealed that the talks between the actor and director have already taken place. He added, "I have given a script idea to him, and we are just in talks so far.” Vetrimaaran did not reveal further details, but looked positive about a future collaboration happening. If it takes place, it will mark the first time the director will be collaborating with Jr NTR.
Meanwhile, Jr NTR is awaiting the release of Devara. Scheduled to hit big screens on September 27, the film is helmed by director Koratala Siva. Apart from Jr NTR, the film also stars Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor in their Telugu debut.
Vetrimaaran is a known and prolific director in Tamil cinema, who has given hits like Asuran, Vada Chennai and Aadukalam. The filmmaker is currently working on Viduthalai - Part 2 which is scheduled to hit theatres in December.
