On Wednesday, January 1, on the occasion of New Year, director-actor Selvaraghavan released the first look poster of his upcoming film 7/G Rainbow Colony 2, which will serve as the sequel to the director's 2004 cult romantic drama. Selvaraghavan is yet to announce the cast and crew, but the poster confirms his collaboration with composer Yuvan Shankar Raja once again, who also scored for the first part.

Selvaraghavan, who is known for crafting emotional love stories, announced the second part of his 2004 film 7/G Rainbow Colony. The first look poster of the film was revealed, which reaffirmed that Selvaraghavan will be back in the director’s chair, saying that 7/G Rainbow Colony is in the final stages of shooting. Selvaraghavan will be once again collaborating with composer Yuvan Shankar Raja for the music, increasing the hype for the sequel given how the soundtrack of the first film is a nostalgic album for many.
